I was appointed Power of Attorney for my ailing 85 year old aunt. She lived in Florida, and I lived in Michigan.
I had no idea how to handle her affairs. Rick Schell and Janice Pope of Elder Planning Alliance helped me immensely.
Rick went out of his way to meet deadlines and always kept me informed of events. He solved problems as they came up and made things as easy as possible for me, since I was in another state with different laws. I felt relieved to have their expertise in my corner.

I wish to thank Rick Schell and his expert staff for their invaluable help in getting my mother registered and eligable for Medicare Assistance. Without his help, I would have been lost in all the paperwork and followup required to place my mother in a good nursing home (Lifecare Center of New Port Richey).
I highly endorse Rick to anyone in the need of any type of financial help regarding the care of seniors.

I had to find someone to help me because I was confused, scared, and didn't know how to handle anything. It was a hard time understanding the procedure of how you were trying to help me.
Now I have a peace-of-mind. I know you'll be there for me.

In 2005, I became POA for an elderly woman. Her affairs were in terrible disarray. I didn't even know where to begin. I was given Rick's name and company by someone. I called him, hired him - he made everything so easy. Rick and Jan, with their quiet assurance, just took everything over and things just fell into place like a puzzle.
I do not know what I would have done without a Rick in my life when I needed help. He is the best. Five stars.

Help! Boy did I need help! Thankfully a staff member at Tandem Health Care recommended you and your services to me.
Your coming to my home while I was still incapacitated was a big help. The information and your knowledge that you brought with you was and is invaluable.
My husband is in the long term care center at Tandem now and is receiving financial help through Medicaid. I could never have handled all the necessary paper work without you.
Thank you very much!

Through Elder Care Alliance I was able to have my husband (diagnosed with Alzheimer's) qualify for the financial assistance needed for his 24/7 medical care. Rick and Janice took care of all the necessary paperwork involved to file correctly. I did not have to worry about the hassle of driving to and from different agencies. I was also very relieved to learn that my home would not be in jeopardy. I also have an allowance which helps me with all the financial obligations I am left with. For anyone in my situation, I recommend Elder Care Alliance for their care and concern were very much appreciated.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Rick Schell. Rick provided me with the least stressful experience EVER since dealing with the nursing home business. The past several months I have been working in circles with the staff of the nursing home where my 90-year old grandmother with Alzheimer's resides. These past few months have been a nightmare, with a lot of effort put forth and no resolutions provided.
Then in walks Rick, with his smile and comforting tone, and I knew I was in good hands. From the moment we sat down to figure out the complexity of the situation, nothing but smooth sailing followed. Rick worked patiently through my emotions and stress. He worked so diligently from 10:00 AM and throughout the day until we were done at 5:30 that afternoon. Every question I had he found the answer to, always going above and beyond what was asked of him.
I am not sure that there is enough that can be said about Rick and his staff in New Port Richey, but I thank them from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you very much!

Rick,
After a number of years of me worrying to death about my wife getting qualified for Medicaid - you and Janice finally made it happen. Now I can do what I want with my money. You weren't worried, because you do this all the time - but I said, "Show Me" and you did! I'm thrilled to death!

Moving from Pittsburgh to Florida and finding a nursing home to care for my aunt was a tremendous effort on our part. However, the realization that the nursing home costs were going to totally deplete lifelong savings was very distressing.
Rick Schell at Elder Planning Alliance handled this task for us with concern, confidence, and utmost professionalism that put our minds at ease. We never felt that we were out on a limb alone. My husband and I will always be grateful to Rick for his help and support during our time of crisis.

I would like to thank you for your guidance in how to manage my mother’s funds. I felt like all the hard work my mother did in her working years was going to disappear in a short time. I greatly appreciate all the effort and hard work you did to safeguard her funds.
Without your help and knowledge I would not have known what to do. I could hardly believe that after a few meetings together my problems were all taken care of. Now I no longer need to worry about my mother’s funds. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your help because without you none of this would have been possible.

At one time in my residence here, I became really concerned about my finances, so I was glad to hear that Mr. Schell was coming to give some financial advice to all of us. Asking him to help me with my problems was the best thing I ever did. I am now comfortable with my financial situation; it has improved to the point where I am no longer concerned, and I always have the comfortable feeling that Mr. Schell is there to help me if needed. He did wonders with what was then a limited income.

It has been a pleasure working with Elder Planning Alliance. Being approximately 2-1/2 hours away, it was great to have such an organized group, with information and guide lines to get all the needed paper work to them. They handled everything.
It was a relief for me. If I had to do it again, I would use them and do recommend them with confidence. Thanks Rick and Janice.

In May 2004, my mother fell and fractured her pelvis—She was placed in a nursing rehabilitation facility. We were very worried about the expense involved and discussed it with a person at the place. She highly recommended Rick Schell—We saw him that very day and by the end of our visit he had already started to set a course of action in motion. He resolved my mother’s future problems with dispatch and efficiency. We thank Rick and his staff for ensuring my mother’s safe and secure well being. I would recommend his services to anyone.

At a very difficult time in our lives when we were trying to deal with the illness of an elderly parent, the last thing we needed was to be thrown into the Medicare/Medicaid/Social Security whirlpool. There seemed to be more questions than answers and no place to turn with any confidence.
One of Mother’s care givers suggested we contact the Elder Planning Alliance. Our meeting with Rick Schell was the light at the end of the tunnel. He not only put our minds at ease but also showed us a way of protecting over $100,000.00 of Mother’s assets which will remain within our family as our Dad would have wanted it. After we left his office, we were confident that we had found someone to guide us through the maze of rules and regulations.
We are pleased to say everything has worked out just as Rick said it should. My wife and I would highly recommend Elder Planning Alliance.

I have been P.O.A. and Health Care Surrogate for my Aunt for the past two years. My father had a stroke and asked that I do the same for him and my mother.
By February of this year it was evident that all three would require skilled nursing. We made the move to coincide with Dad’s discharge from the hospital.
At both nursing homes I chose, I was offered 2 or 3 Elder Planning brochures. I chose Rick Schell because he was close and I needed help. Thanks to his help I was able to protect their assets, and get them on Medicaid. Rick and his staff were very courteous and informational. I would highly recommend them.
